The Centre successfully conducted the Intra-University Extempore Moot Court Competition on 14th November 2025, commemorating Constitution Day.

The competition invited participants to engage in spontaneous constitutional argumentation on contemporary constitutional controversies, including preventive detention and judicial review, regulation of protests and public spaces, digital dissent and online speech, gender equality within tribal customary laws, the constitutional role and discretion of Governors, parliamentary privilege in the digital age, and the limits of constitutional amendments affecting executive accountability. Through dynamic dialogue and rapid legal reasoning, the moot fostered critical engagement with evolving questions of constitutional governance and reform.

In the final rounds, teams argued on the validity of the Constitution (One Hundred and Thirtieth) Amendment Act, 2025. Mr. Karlo Cruz and Mr. Gauraansh Arora secured the First Position, while Ms. Sai Deekshita and Ms. Priyankashiri A were declared Runners-Up. The award for the Best Speaker was conferred upon Ms. Sai Deekshita for her exceptional advocacy.

The Centre extends its heartfelt gratitude to our Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Harpreet Kaur for her continued support, and encouragement.
